About Us

Who are we?

Crimson Cactus is a family owned and operated business located to the San Antonio, Texas area.

Patti

I started making ceramic pieces in 1981 in North Carolina as a way to provide a 'second' income and allow me to stay at home with my children.  I started exhibiting pieces in arts and craft shows in the Carolinas and then in the late 80's moved to El Paso, TX, where I did shows and festivals throughout west Texas and southern New Mexico.  Another move in 2003, took us to the Kansas City, Missouri area.  In 2006, with the help of my daughter, Sarah, (now grown with a son of her own), hand-poured soy candles were added to the product line.  Last year, we came back to Texas to the San Antonio area and have added several more items to our line.  We are proud that our family business continues to grow.

Sarah

I grew up in a very crafty family and have always enjoyed making things.  In 2004, my husband was injured in Iraq and with our first child on the way, we moved from Texas to Kansas City, MO to be close to family.  After our son was born in 2005, I started working with Mom again and by the summer of 2006, we had created a full line of hand-made products!  In 2011, we moved back Texas (our home state)!  Selling our items here on our website allows me to home school my 7 year old son and spend lots of time with my Mom as we continue to build our business!

Why the name?

The crimson flower of the Easter Cactus is the rarest, most delicate of the cactus flowers.  We pride ourselves in creating products just as unique as the Crimson Cactus.  As always, we proudly hand make all of our items here in the USA!

Thank you for shopping with us! We sincerely appreciate your business!
